Would you like the senior management and business owners of your organization to view Legal as a revenue facilitator rather than a cost center? Does your organization want to use AI tools to increase efficiency and save money, but is concerned about the October 30th AI Executive Order? Do you want your business owners to come to you to learn how to leverage the newest cybersecurity regulations, laws, and practices into expansion of your customer base?

If so, join your colleagues at Barton as it hosts the Association of Corporate Counsel’s In-house Counsel Certification Program with a focus on cybersecurity from November 28th – December 1st.

Barton Managing Partner Roger E. Barton, Nashville Managing Partner Leslie Sanders, and Partners Kenneth Rashbaum and Tara Aaron-Stelluto will be part of the program faculty, tackling in-house counsel topics (and such headline matters as management of AI risks) from a cybersecurity perspective. They will be offering practical suggestions on how to meet customer and business partner contractual cybersecurity obligations, demonstrating how implementation of cybersecurity controls can enhance company revenue by:

1) expanding the number of customers and business partners with whom your organization would be qualified to work and

2) allowing the organization to respond effectively to issues related to data privacy and security breaches.

About the ACC Certification Program

This certification program is an intensive 4-day program designed to provide in-house counsel with critical, in-depth insight on topics such as:

  • Crisis management and crisis assessments
  • Managing stakeholder expectations
  • International negotiations

  • Managing outside counsel and legal service providers

The program will be led by Carole Basri, Chief Advisor of the ACC In-House Counsel Certification Program, and James Merklinger, Chief Advisor of the ACC Credentialing Institute.
