Barton is pleased to announce that attorneys Leslie Goff Sanders, Daniel Crowell, and Stephen Stovall (all formerly with Jackson Lewis) and attorney Tara Aaron-Stelluto (formerly with Lewis Brisbois) have joined Barton’s Nashville office. This brings the tally of Barton’s recent BigLaw lateral hires to four attorneys within just 45 days. Leslie, Daniel, and Tara join as Partners while Stephen joins as an Associate. Leslie will lead the firm’s six-attorney office as Barton’s Nashville Managing Partner.

Leslie, Daniel, and Stephen assist employers in all areas of labor and employment law, with a particular focus on day-to-day counseling, litigation, trade secrets and non-competition, and executive compensation. They help employers navigate workplace issues, conduct layoffs, manage government investigations, defend against employment claims, and pursue and defend restrictive covenant, trade secret, and unfair competition claims.

“This is a huge opportunity for us,” said Leslie on her new leadership role with Barton. “The Nashville law firm landscape is rapidly changing with the growth of Nashville and the influx of AmLaw 100 firms. We are excited to have found the Barton platform that is known for providing a high-quality alternative to BigLaw. Law360 said it best when they featured Barton as one of ‘10 boutiques that have established brands on par with the biggest of firms’ who are ‘capable of competing with – and beating – the best big firms at the highest level.’”

“After many years in practice together, Leslie and I are convinced that a blend of top-tier service and entrepreneurial thinking is something our clients and referral sources deserve,” said Daniel. “We are very excited to give our clientele the resources and partner-level expertise needed to help them grow and thrive in this business climate.”

Tara was a partner at Lewis Brisbois after running her own intellectual property and cybersecurity practice for over a decade. She is the second female BigLaw partner to jump to Barton Nashville. Her work will continue helping financial service firms, businesses, and the publishing and media industries nationally and internationally to implement and test data security programs, respond to data security compromises, protect and enforce trademarks and copyrights, and solidify and close contracts.

“I truly loved the entrepreneurial aspect of owning and operating a boutique law firm,” said Tara. “Barton provides that same atmosphere and attitude, but with a diverse array of sophisticated backgrounds in legal talent that will allow me to serve clients in all aspects of their business.”

“Adding this team to our group in Nashville is a tremendous step forward for us and our clients in the Tennessee region,” added Roger Barton, Managing Partner of Barton LLP. “Their talent, reputation, and sophistication in providing high-level client service is exactly what we strive to offer each and every day. Under Leslie’s leadership in Nashville, I am confident that our office will grow substantially while we maintain our commitment to deliver value to our clients as an alternative to BigLaw.”
