Amith Arcot is an associate in Barton’s litigation practice. Ami handles commercial litigation matters on behalf of private and public companies at the state and federal level. Ami’s practice is focused on providing strategic solutions for clients and resolving commercial disputes in an efficient manner that mitigates risk and achieves effective resolutions.

Ami represents a wide array of clients in a variety of industries including nationwide logistics companies, global healthcare companies, tech start-ups, companies in the renewable resource industry, and wholesale distribution companies.  Ami is also a founding member of the Barton’s Pro Bono Committee and has successfully represented clients pro bono in federal court.

Ami is a graduate of Fordham University School of Law where he was Notes and Articles Editor for Fordham Journal of Corporate & Financial Law. He is also the recipient of the Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award as well as the Student Leadership Award.

As a law student, Ami gained practical experience working at Fordham’s Securities Litigation and Arbitration Clinic handling FINRA arbitrations where he secured settlements on behalf of clients in unsuitability matters, and as a summer associate at Labaton Sucharow in their securities class-action litigation group.

Ami earned a B.A. in Political Science from New York University. He is also a graduate of Porsche Sport Racing School and has an avid interest in Formula 1 Racing and motorcycles.
