Georgiana (“Gina”) P. Young is a senior associate in Barton’s litigation group and is based in its LA office.
Gina routinely advises and represents corporations and individuals in complex business issues and disputes, involving all aspects of case management, from inception of case to appeals, with extensive law and motion practice in both state and federal courts.
Gina handles disputes involving business, real estate, intellectual property, and general commercial matters. Her industry experience spans the gamut from petroleum and environmental to insurance and construction.
Won a complicated motion to compel arbitration which the plaintiff sought to overturn by Petition for Writ of Mandate in the Court of Appeal. After we filed Preliminary Opposition, the California Court of Appeal summarily denied the Writ. The Plaintiff then filed a Petition for Review by the California Supreme Court, and Barton filed an Answer to the Petition for Review. The Supreme Court denied the Petition for Review by Order (Darcom v. Black Knight Origination Technologies, Inc.).
