Law360 featured Barton as one of “10 boutiques that have established brands on par with the biggest of firms” who are “capable of competing with – and beating – the best big firms at the highest level.” The article cites a growing trend among law firm boutiques that “encroach on big firms’ territory by blending the same high level of skill and expertise with a lower rate structure and greater client accessibility.”

Barton was singled out among the 10 firms for offering “well-rounded services in a number of practice areas.” Industry analyst Carey Bertolet was quoted as saying Barton “has a real vision in what a smaller firm can do. They have specialties across a variety of subject areas, which I think is one reason they’re doing as well as they’re doing. I think it’s a mistake to be so specialized that it’s impossible to service a client in a variety of areas.”

Speaking on behalf of the firm, Barton’s Managing Partner, Roger Barton said, “We are extremely proud and honored to be recognized among these elite firms. It is an acknowledgement of our valued clients, who place their faith and trust in us to handle their representations with care and concern and to deliver results each and every day. Further, we believe that the essence of a law firm is its people. Our legal services are our product, and that product is intensely personal. To be considered as a leading firm is a testament to every one of our attorneys and staff, to all the accumulated experience, hard work, dedication and talent they bring to the services that they perform for our clients.”
