On February 5th, Senior Associate Charlene Valdez Warner is slated to speak as a panelist for a webinar hosted by the Moot Alumni Association (MAA).
The MAA connects alumni of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, a competition for law students to foster the study and practice of international commercial sales law and arbitration.
In addition to promoting the Vis Moot competitions, the MAA organizes conferences, legal training, and seminars on international trade law and arbitration, featuring distinguished experts from both practice and academia.
For the MAA’s webinar series, The Vis Moot Journey, Charlene will be a panelist for the episode titled, “Using Oral Advocacy to Persuasively Make Your Case.” The webinar will address the Vis Moot competition participants as the audience and will provide valuable insights on oral advocacy—a key skill for success in hearings.
Charlene was selected as a panelist for her “contribution towards numerous successful initiatives in the field of international arbitration.” Charlene is also a Board Member of the Young Singapore International Arbitration Centre (YSIAC) Council in the Americas, which is a supporting organization of the series.
