On October 28th, Charlene spoke on a panel titled, “Ghostbusting Procedural Issues in International Arbitration,” hosted by NYIAC (New York International Arbitration Center), SIAC (Singapore International Arbitration Centre), and JAMS (arbitration and mediation organization).

The panel explored the pitfalls that often complicate arbitration proceedings, as well as the innovations that help counsel and parties ensure a smooth and effective process. Panelists provided their experiences and perspectives to help participants navigate the procedural traps and process delays that can often impede arbitration efforts.

Other speakers included Catherine Carulas of Covington & Burling; Betsy Hellmann of Skadden Arps; Lucy Reed, independent arbitrator; and David Huebner, a current Arbitrator & Mediator with JAMS and former Ambassador of the United States to New Zealand and Samoa.
