Congratulations to Partner Tara Aaron-Stelluto, who has been selected to sit on the Emerging Issues Committee at the International Trademark Association (INTA) for the 2023-2025 term.

INTA is a global association of brand owners and professionals dedicated to supporting trademarks and complementary intellectual property (IP) to foster consumer trust, economic growth, and innovation, while building a better society through brands.

INTA’s Emerging Issues Committee identifies and advocates for policy on important trends and emerging issues related to trademarks that are not covered by other “issue” committees. Recently, the Committee has delivered proposed policy on IP protection for artificial Intelligence output and the issue of cross-border advertising and trademark use. The Committee is made up of over 200 trademark professionals from around the world, including representatives from the NHL, Walt Disney, Mastercard, and Moderna, as well as trademark counsel from six continents. Committees typically meet virtually on a monthly basis and twice in-person each year.

Tara will attend the committee’s meeting when she attends the annual invitation-only INTA Leadership Meeting in Houston, Texas, from November 14 – November 17, 2023.
