On May 15th, 2025, Partner Tara Aaron-Stelluto spoke at a webinar hosted by Frazier Deeter on the Tennessee Information Protection Act (TIPA). Titled “TIPA Compliance Checklist: Legal and Operational Steps for Tennessee Businesses,” the webinar covered Tennessee’s state law that grants Tennessee residents data privacy rights and requires businesses to take certain measures to protect their personal information.
With TIPA’s in-effect date quickly approaching on July 1, 2025, Tara spoke about how businesses can and should conduct data inventory, review/update current privacy policies, manage data subject rights, revise contracts with vendors/third parties, and train employees.
