Congratulations to Partner Ian Shane who was recently appointed as Co-Chair of the Taxation of Business Entities Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. His tenure as Co-Chair will begin in September 2024.
The New York City Bar’s mission is to “equip and mobilize a diverse legal profession to practice with excellence, promote reform of the law, and uphold the rule of law and access to justice in support of a fair society and the public interest in our community, our nation, and throughout the world.”
Part of the way it does this is through its 150 committees which help guide its advocacy and activities. Committees engage in activities such as writing reports on current legislation, hosting CLE programs and events, and filing amicus briefs in legal cases to help shape policy and frame debate on current pressing legal issues.
