Senior Associate Lani E. Medina was recently selected to participate as a mentor in the Next Generation Líderes (NGL) program of LatinoJustice PRLDEF. The NGL program focuses on youth career development in the Latinx community, matching high school students, undergraduates, and recent grads interested in legal training/careers with practicing attorneys for one-on-one mentoring.
Mentors must be legal professionals who are willing to commit to at least one hour of in-person mentoring each month, as well as attending group activities with mentees. This year-long program also offers monthly group events to share information with students about law school, resources, and opportunities in the legal field, and to build networks that will serve them in years to come.
Thank you to Lani and other volunteers like her for uplifting those in the Latinx community and for helping to develop young legal talent to create a more diverse legal industry in the future.
