Joshua A. Messian is a real estate associate where he concentrates his practice in the representation of cooperatives, condominiums, homeowners associations, landlords and developers. Mr. Messian handles litigation matters, including landlord tenant disputes and condominium collection matters. In addition he works on transactional and general corporate matters such as governing document revisions, cooperative and condominium capital improvement loans and construction contracts.
Prior to joining Barton LLP, Mr. Messian was an associate at a prominent regional law firm where he specialized in real estate law. He also served as a fellow at Brooklyn Law School's Corporate and Real Estate Clinic where he represented HDFC cooperatives on transactional and corporate governance matters, and taught seminars to HDFC board members on subletting and alterations policies.
